• venice pavilion

This was a competition for a theoretical proposal sited in Venice adjacent to St. Marks Square. The Pavilion was to act as a spectacle and to be accessible by the public. Our conceptual proposal to create a floating pavilion was inspired by the behemoth cruise ships that plagued the lagoon. The narrative we concocted suggested that an iceberg lost its way and appeared as an apparition. Revellers in penguin masks occupy the square for carnival.
