8 Fenchurch Place is a 90,000 sq ft office building in the insurance district of the City of London, built over the air rights to Fenchurch Street station in 1988. It was comprehensively refurbished in 2011-12, including new rationalised internal cores and a full Cat A refurbishment of the office accommodation, delivering a significant uplift in nett internal area.
In addition, a bright naturally top-lit reception and striking new limestone façade replaced a dark and uninviting arrival space, giving the building a reinvigorated presence on Fenchurch Place.
